Text Messages — Terms and Consent
Effective October 1, 2026. Program name: PDOne (Plum Grove Police Department).
Who receives these messages
Only Plum Grove Police Department staff and designated city officials who have signed the consent form below. PDOne never texts the public and never sends marketing or promotional messages. Numbers are never purchased or imported from lists.
What the messages are
- Emergency Alerts — when a staff member triggers an Emergency Alert: who needs help, the time, and a map link to their location (or “Location unavailable”).
- Secure signing links — a single-use link to sign or approve one specific timesheet.
- Occasional test messages when the system is checked.
How often
Message frequency varies. Emergency Alert texts are sent only when an alert is triggered; signing links are typically sent about twice a month (once per payroll period).
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. The department does not charge for these messages.
